How a bar of soap is made
The Wash House is a pre-launch concept. If it proceeds, the formula, curing record, ingredient list, allergens, intended use and packaging will be confirmed before a bar is offered for sale.
Cold process, not melt-and-pour
The planned method is cold process. In general, oils and an alkali react through saponification to form soap. The exact OSSE° formula and manufacturing process are not final and should not be inferred from this journal concept.
Six weeks of patience
A cold-process bar is commonly rested and cured after cutting. The actual cure period and performance of any OSSE° bar will be recorded by batch and stated after testing—not promised in advance.
Gender-neutral, by design
The scent directions are not gendered: sea salt and sage, charcoal and black fir, oat and honey, cedar and clay, bergamot and balsam. Final ingredient, allergen, palm-oil and packaging statements remain pending until the products are formulated and documented.
